Our client is currently hiring a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair glass-lined process equipment for customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with regular travel across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Install, assemble, test, and commission equipment
Perform inspections, maintenance, overhauls, and fault-finding
Carry out Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and equipment upgrades
Prepare service reports, risk assessments, and documentation
Support customers with service, spares, and technical issues
Build strong customer relationships and support service sales
Coordinate with internal teams on projects and schedules
Deliver customer training when required
Requirements
Qualified Mechanical Fitter (or similar)
Experience with mechanical seals, gearboxes, agitators, and drives
Strong troubleshooting and independent working ability
Good communication and customer-facing skills
Full driver's license and willingness to travel
Desirable:
Experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industries
