Role Summary
This is a 23 month fixed term contract based in Tullagreen, Carrigtwohill.
You will play a critical role in designing automated equipment, implementing robust test frameworks, installing and validating the equipment and responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise.
This role requires a strong understanding of automation best practices, test strategy and integration with operational teams.
* Be a key player in one stream of the automated program.
* Part of the development and implementation of automated equipment.
* Work as part of a cross functional team to ensure system integration is considered on all systems.
* Act with integrity and confidence.
* Build Organizational Capability by working to better support internal customers and the delivery of products and services.
* Collaborate with other engineers, QA and Ops teams to embed testing into the development and validation processes.
* Analyse issues that arise, identify root causes of failures and ensure timely resolution.
* Complete Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports, review and support the development of Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), equipment manuals etc.
* Complete end to end validation of the system, along with other engineers.
* Define and monitor quality metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the process is robust.
* Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input from a testability and automation perspective.
* Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support team members and with external agents.
* Continuously improve the performance of the process.
* Follow required regulatory standards with all work executed.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrable strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a process improvement orientation and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent technical experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Proven Project Management skills through the delivery of projects.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong communication and influencing skills, both internal and external.
* Excellent presentation and written / verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrable ability to work autonomously.
* A team player, with a flexible approach.
