The Role
Joining the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) presents a unique opportunity to work with a highly influential body representing a vital sector of the Irish economy. This role will form part of the Member Services team and will report to the Trade Manager- Member Services. The Training and Membership Executive will maintain, promote and grow the IEA training programmes and support the Head of Member Services to grow the member base.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a highly driven, adaptable and confident people person with excellent administrative skills who can thrive in a rapidly changing organisation and will adopt a hands-on approach to their role. We are seeking a high calibre and talented professional with a positive mindset and that is willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities and focus areas for this role will include the following:
* Maintain, promote and grow the IEA Training Programmes including but not limited to targeting, taking bookings, payment processing and managing the trainers.
* Provide comprehensive support to members by assisting to resolve trade-related inquiries. This includes offering advice, facilitating connections with relevant resources, and ensuring members have access to the information they need to navigate trade issues effectively.
* Maintain, promote and support the growth of IEA membership including, but not limited to, targeting potential members, managing the onboarding process, handling payment transactions, and providing ongoing support and assistance to current members.
* Manage invoicing and credit control processes, including generating and sending invoices, monitoring payment statuses, following up on overdue accounts, and ensuring timely collection of payments to maintain healthy cash flow.
* Support the IEA Business Support Hub by handling business-related inquiries, providing resources to members, and ensuring smooth operations. Also, maintain the website with up-to-date information and manage marketing activities to promote training and enhance member engagement.
* Provide support for IEA Consular services, including assisting with consular inquiries, facilitating the processing of consular documents, and ensuring members receive timely and accurate information related to consular matters.
What we are looking for
Minimum qualifications, experience & skills
* 3 years office administration experience
* Intermediate level of competence with Office 365 (MS Office, Excel, Teams etc.)
* Experience with Sage is an advantage
* Experience dealing with customers by phone and email
* Ability to engage with Members, and Stakeholders build relationships at all organisational levels through exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* A positive can-do attitude, high energy and an eagerness to excel in everything they do
* Excellent organisation and time management skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to rapidly reprioritise according to the changing needs of the business
* Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
The ideal candidate should have appropriate and relevant qualifications, able to demonstrate experience engaging with all levels of company management, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, exceptional work ethic and motivation to excel in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
