Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team in a Blarney Rehabilitation Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, managing day-to-day clinical practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership and manage day-to-day clinical practices
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents
* Conduct ward rounds and review nursing documentation
* Participate in handover and troubleshoot ongoing clinical issues
* Ensure medication practices are carried out according to NMBI guidelines
* Undertake regular MAMS Medicines audits and ensure effective feedback and action plans
* Supervise staff and monitor practice in relation to care practices
* Assess education needs and implement in-house training
* Monitor standards of cleanliness and hygiene and foster an effective working relationship between nurses, carers, housekeeping and catering staff
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills, with a minimum of 7 years post-registration experience and a management qualification in health or a related field.
