Role OverviewDar-us-Salaam is seeking a Freelance Front-End Web Developer to support ongoing website needs across multiple projects. This role focuses on implementing front-end updates, improving user experience, maintaining consistency, and ensuring that designs and content are accurately and cleanly executed.The Front-End Web Developer will work closely with the Director of Strategic Communications and collaborate with designers, videographers, and other technical partners as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement front-end updates and layout changes across Dar-us-Salaam web propertiesTranslate designs, layouts, or written requirements into clean, functional front-end implementationsEnsure websites are responsive, accessible, and visually consistentUpdate pages for campaigns, events, fundraising initiatives, and organizational projectsSupport basic troubleshooting of front-end display or functionality issuesOptimize pages for performance, clarity, and usabilityTypes of Work InvolvedLanding pages for campaigns and fundraisingUpdates to existing website pages and layoutsFront-end support for donor and program pagesCollaboration with designers on visual executionMinor enhancements to user experience and navigationTechnical RequirementsStrong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptExperience working with CMS platforms (we primarily use WordPress)Comfort implementing designs without heavy hand-holdingAbility to work within existing systems and structuresDocumentation & Organization ExpectationsDar-us-Salaam values clarity and continuity.
