Client Services Team Manager

The Role & Key Responsibilities:
Apex IFS is looking for a highly motivated individual to manage one of our client services teams.
Our corporate services include preparation of management accounts, preparation of financial statements, arranging and managing audits, facilitating tax compliance including corporation tax returns and payments, VAT, CRS, FATCA, company secretarial, board meeting management, transaction document management and execution and other compliance obligations.
The client services team members act as front of house for our corporate service offering to our clients. The team members manage portfolios of clients and are responsible for the overall client relationship. They perform technical accounting and value add services whilst coordinating with all our internal Apex functional teams and external counterparties to ensure the client deliverables are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities of the Team Manager:
Manage direct onshore reports and work closely with offshore indirect reports to ensure a high quality and supremely co-ordinated service is delivered to client relationships.
Facilitate team meetings and huddles to ensure traction on deliverables within the team and to manage capacity.
Manage team resources in line with the Apex policies to ensure continued service excellence.
To report on service delivery in the monthly performance metrics to the Senior Management Team, to ensure team accountability and service quality oversight.
Oversight of client deliverables within the team’s client portfolios to ensure adherence to corporate service agreement.
Reviewing of statutory financial statements to required standard and deadlines.
Reviewing transaction documents to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
To obtain internal and external stakeholder feedback and drive increases in client satisfaction and engagement.
Ensure the timely and accurate resolution of any internal or external issues and ensure effective open and clear communication processes are in place.
To challenge and promote efficient use of our systems and processes to enable growth and facilitate the expansion of our capabilities.
To understand relevant accounting standards, laws, practices, treaties, and regulations that underpin our client requirements.
To ensure that your team is continually developing their expertise and to encourage self‑learning.
Establish and maintain sound motivational people management practices. Ensure employee development is aligned to business objectives and oversee and measure effective work processes and practices within the team.
Manage all related HR information, and compile and distribute departmental / functional / employee MI at pre‑agreed intervals.
Active involvement in ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
Oversight of service delivery in line with the client fee structure and escalation of service creep where applicable.
Coordinating with our Business Development team in identifying and following up on business opportunities and the development of our services.
Skills Required:
Typically, 5+ years industry experience
Expert knowledge of IFRS and Irish GAAP
Excellent people management and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively in fast paced, complex and dynamic work environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship management skills
Knowledge of corporate governance, relevant local laws and regulatory requirements would be a distinct advantage.
