Position Overview:The Service Advisor is the first point of contact for customers and acts as the key liaison between customers and the Service Department. They are responsible for interpreting customer concerns, ensuring clear communication, coordinating vehicle service and repairs, managing vehicle service appointments, providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from drop-off to collection. The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency. The Service Advisor reports to the Service Manager.Key Responsibilities:Customer Service and Communication:Greet customers promptly and professionallyListen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues/service requestsProvide clear explanations of repair/maintenance work required, including cost and time estimatesMaintain regular communication with customers regarding job progress and any changes to the service timeline or costJob Coordination and Workshop Liaison:Prepare accurate and detailed job cards for workshop technicians to ensure they understand the customers concernsCommunicate effectively and coordinate with workshop technicians (via WorkMobile) to ensure repair work completed on timeAdministration:Prepare service invoices (using SAGE accounts software) and explain charges to customersProcess payments and ensure proper closing of work ordersSchedule service appointmentsMaintain thorough customer and service recordsKey Skills and Attributes:Strong customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage customer expectations effectivelyExceptional organisational and multitasking abilitiesGood technical understanding of motor vehicles an advantageAttention to detail and accuracy in documentationAbility to work and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced, team oriented environmentQualifications and Experience:Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Service Advisor in the motor industryCertificate or Diploma in Automotive Service Management or related field (advantageous but not essential)Proficiency with computers and automotive softwareJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €50,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company pensionEmployee discountOn-site parkingSick payWork Location: In person
