Embedded C/C++ Engineer with 2 years' experience, CorkSensors-based technology has a wide range of applications including navigation, gaming, smart user interface, multimedia, virtual reality and augmented reality. This challenging position offers the opportunity to work with leading edge sensor technologies embedded in smartphones, automotive, IOT, smartwatches as well as other consumer electronics devices. Job activities span the whole product life cycle from early R&D to commercial deployment. The successful candidate will work with systems, software, and integration/test engineers in the QCT sensors groupJob responsibilities include:Embedded Software Development in C, C++Unit Testing and system testing using frameworks like Google TestArchitecting software frameworks and modules on a variety of cores like CPU, Embedded MCU and GPUImplementing system algorithms, performance testing, debugging, verifying and optimising the implementations.Creating reports on algorithm evaluation results and delivering complete design and user documentationCommunication of the design, results and issues to the product management, systems and SW leadsProgramming in one interpreted language such as PythonThe position is technology focused and involves participation in a broad range of sensors systems engineering activities within the Sensors Technologies groupMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related and 2 years of ASIC Design, verification, OR a Master's degree in in Science, Engineering or related and 1 year of ASIC Design, verification, or related work experience PhD degree in Science or Engineering.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the following areas:Development of compilers, interpreters, and software toolchains.Familiarity with hardware architectures such as CPUs GPU's and NPU'sRTOS and device drivers.Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environmentKnowledge of MEMs & inertial sensorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsSalary is up to around €55k - €60K plus benefits.The client has an extensive benefits package including health, employee assistance, and other benefit programs to enhance employee quality of life, and an exceptional pension scheme and stock options package.The role is based in Cork.
