Senior Manufacturing Engineer
, you will play a critical role in scaling manufacturing operations from prototype and low-volume builds to robust, repeatable production in support of a pivotal clinical trial.
This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who thrives in fast-paced, regulated environments and enjoys working cross-functionally across Manufacturing, R&D and Quality.
The Role
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will focus on improving yield, eliminating bottlenecks, and embedding scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes. You will apply lean manufacturing principles, structured problem-solving methodologies, and data-driven decision-making to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and report on manufacturing KPIs, driving continuous improvement across safety, quality, documentation, equipment uptime, throughput and yield
* Lead investigations into yield and process issues using methodologies such as Six Sigma, DMAIC, Shainin or similar
* Troubleshoot equipment issues and evolve preventive maintenance, IQ/OQ and equipment qualification practices
* Lead root cause investigations into non-conformances and implement sustainable corrective actions
* Train and mentor manufacturing team members on process optimisation and best practices
Essential Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or a related discipline
* 5+ years' experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally manual assembly of medical devices
* Proven experience using statistical analysis to optimise processes
