Job Description
As a seasoned culinary professional, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Head Chef with the overall management of our kitchen. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards, and that service runs smoothly during busy periods.
* Assist the Head Chef with menu planning, development, and daily specials
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, ensuring smooth and efficient kitchen operations
* Ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation are met at all times
* Oversight of preparation and cooking of dishes, managing your section during service
* Assist with stock control, ordering, and maintaining kitchen inventory
* Ensure kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are consistently met
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role in a high-volume kitchen
* Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
* Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm and efficient working environment
* Experience with grill and seafood preparation is highly desirable
* A passion for food and the ability to inspire the team with your creativity and professionalism
