The primary purpose of this post is to contribute to intellectual disability nursing teaching, research and administrative activities in the School of Nursing & Midwifery.The successful applicant will have an established reputation in teaching and research in intellectual disability nursing and will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in this field and in interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring. The post provides an opportunity to actively contribute to developments relevant to the discipline. The successful candidate will be expected to publish and disseminate widely in the area of intellectual disability and attract national and international research funding.The School seeks a motivated and talented nurse who will sustain intellectual disability nursing teaching and research innovation, align with strategic priorities and develop new research strands. The appointee will provide leadership in policy and practice development at national and regional levels.Post Title: Assistant Professor in Intellectual Disability. Post Status: Tenure Track (5‑year contract). Salary: Lecturer Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications and experience (€43,425 – €103,582 per annum). Hours of work as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
