Job SummaryField Service Engineer – Ireland – Responsible for installation, commissioning, implementation and maintenance of BD Dispensing products, primarily the BD Rowa™ robotic drug storage systems. Works with the Service Team and assists operating staff with day‑to‑day queries and fault diagnosis remotely or on site.Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project and installation teams to deliver projects on agreed timelines.Undertake commissioning of new customer sites.Communicate and coordinate with onsite trades/workers.Establish and maintain good customer relationships and deliver customer training.Perform administrative duties (expenses, online training, record keeping, customer reports).Troubleshoot complex issues, determine root cause and implement resolution.Execute on‑site service repairs to a high‑quality standard, first time and professionally.Diagnose faults remotely or on‑site and complete planned preventative maintenance on schedule.Achieve individual and team target goals.Order and maintain a stock holding of parts.Adhere to health and safety requirements.Work away from home when required for installations, commissions, training, meetings or out‑of‑area service breakdowns.Participate in on‑call evening and weekend rota work.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum level 6 Mechanical / Electrical engineering qualification or equivalent.Several years of experience in electro‑mechanical systems fault diagnosis, repair, servicing and installation.Excellent customer skills, able to set and manage expectations face‑to‑face, via telephone, Microsoft Teams and in writing.Excellent time‑management skills, ability to arrange own diary and prioritise appointments.Strong communication skills, able to communicate at all levels.Able to work both as part of a team and independently.Experience of managing own stock.Location & Working ConditionsTerritory: Dublin area.Work away from home and on‑call evenings/weekends on a rota basis.CompensationSalary: €48,000 – €53,000 per annum + bonus + company car.Equal Opportunity EmployerBecton, Dickinson and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
