As a Senior Principal Formal Verification Engineer you will help shape the future of mobility through advanced microcontroller and software technologies. This role is central to transforming the automotive landscape with solutions that support clean, safe, and intelligent vehicles. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge verification methods that ensure reliability and compliance in complex systems. Working alongside a team of experts, you will drive technical innovation, influence strategy, and support the growth of formal verification capabilities.
What to expect from this role:
* Collaborate with platform architects and design leads to define formal-friendly platform and design guidelines.
* Promote formal verification as a standard approach for IP verification processes.
* Guide teams to apply the right formal verification techniques to enhance efficiency at both IP and product levels.
* Develop formal verification expertise within the Automotive Microcontrollers business and build a Formal Verification Community.
* Advance the use of formal verification in Digital Mixed Signal and Power Aware Verification, including automation and AI-driven methods.
Requirements:
* Holds a university degree in a STEM field with over 15 years of relevant work experience, including 8+ years specializing in formal verification.
* Possesses deep expertise in formal verification techniques such as abstractions, non-determinism, invariants, and assume-guarantee reasoning.
* Understands formal engines thoroughly and knows how to apply them effectively across various verification tasks.
* Experienced in applying formal verification to algorithms, protocols, design blocks, SoC verification, and hybrid simulation-formal environments.
* Recognised for driving formal verification advancements both internally and externally, with demonstrated influence in industry and academia.
