We are currently seeking a highly motivated Technician to join our team in Sandymount.
Contract Type: Permanent full-time.
Salary Scale: €43,146 to €48,717 pro-rata per annum.
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days.
Overall Purpose of the Post:
Our mission at SeatTech is to work with people to provide them with the most appropriate seating, wheelchairs, and positioning equipment to meet their individual needs. We aim to achieve this by working together as a specialist team of caring individuals, who understand that our success is always determined by the quality of the service we provide to each person.
The purpose of the post is to provide technical expertise, founded on sound engineering principles, to contribute to the delivery of suitable wheelchair seating solutions to people with complex needs. A specific focus of this role is to help expedite the introduction of digital technologies into the manufacturing processes within SeatTech.
The SeatTech Technician works in partnership with clinical & technical staff in the assessment, fitting, and handover of seating equipment. The clinician ensures clinical suitability, while the technician ensures manufacturing and technical integrity.
The technician operates efficiently to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality products are delivered timely.
Duties include:
* Quality management
* Use of 3D scanning & CAD software
* Exploration of alternative manufacturing techniques

The successful candidate will have:
* NFQ Level 7 qualification in engineering or related field, or Level 6 with significant experience (must provide written evidence)
* Workshop & machine tools training, minimum 5 years’ experience with machine tools and power tools
* Technical competence (practical assessment required)
* Experience from design to completion of manual technical work
* Flexibility and efficiency, ability to work independently and in a team
* Full Class B driving license
* Eligibility for registration as ‘Engineering Technician’ with Engineers Ireland
* Training/experience in clinical/biomedical applications
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
* Experience with CAD/CAM, specifically CNC milling
