We're seeking an individual to provide technical support to equipment engineers for the improvement, installation, validation, and transfer of custom automated equipment used in manufacturing for existing or new products.
This involves collaborating with cross-functional deployment teams while working with suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines. The successful candidate will work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
Key responsibilities include testing electro-mechanical assemblies, operating, testing, or maintaining robotic equipment and vision systems, analyzing and recording test results, and preparing written documentation.
The ideal candidate will have a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience. They should be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications.
A strong background in PLC and Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electro/Mechanical systems, Resistance welders, Packaging equipment is highly desirable. Experience with process improvement projects i.e., improving yields, reducing downtime is also essential.
