Job Title: Co-ordinator – Grants Governance

Role Profile
The Grants Governance Team administers a wide range of Grant Schemes within SEAI, including Capital, Research, Enabling Schemes and EU research grants. The successful candidate will report to the Grants Governance Manager, join an enthusiastic and innovative team, and contribute to the high‑quality delivery of SEAI’s grant administration, supporting the reduction of fossil fuel usage.
Key Responsibilities
* Administer end‑to‑end management of grant schemes, ensuring compliance with financial controls and procedures.
* Coordinate grant administration activities, including budget oversight and financial reporting.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners across a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Develop and maintain internal controls and governance frameworks for grant programmes.
* Provide analysis and reporting on programme performance.
* Utilise IT systems and other digital tools to streamline grant processes.
Essential Requirements
* Degree (Level 7 NFQ or higher) or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Finance or a relevant discipline.
* Minimum five years of directly relevant experience in grant programme governance, finance management, or a finance function with extensive grant oversight.
* Strong experience ensuring compliance with financial controls and procedures.
* Experience managing multi‑disciplinary projects involving diverse internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven expertise in internal controls and governance.
* Track record of delivering programme analysis in a similar environment.
* Well‑developed IT skills.
Desirable Requirements
* Full professional qualification in Accountancy.
* Knowledge or experience of working in the public sector.
* Experience managing the full life cycle of grant funding schemes.
* Experience in change management.
* Experience with Smart Simple and other grant management systems.
* Experience in team management and staff development.
* Excellent understanding of the research funding environment at national and international scale.
* History of delivering positive customer experiences.
Eligibility to Work
The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. Candidates must hold a valid visa or work permit. Failure to provide required documentation will result in the application or contract being void.
