Solution Architect - Merchant Acquiring/Payments - Contract - URGENT (Onsite Dublin)
My client, a leading payments giant is looking to hire a strong Solution Architect, with experience in merchant acquiring and payments solutions.
The Solution Architect will support the larger M&I team to identify go-forward solutions that would reduce overhead, improve cost and enhance the current product propositions.
Solution Architect Job Spec – The person needs to be based in Dublin, working in the office
Job Responsibilities:
* Understand business objectives and provide solution blueprints that enable the downstream teams to deliver exceptional product capabilities to meet the clients needs
* Solve complex client problems in a way that delivers strategic business outcomes
* Identify and support the adoption of new core capabilities and influence technology selection processes
* Become an expert on the clients business capabilities and how to best deploy them to resolve specific project needs
* Work with engineering teams to develop prototypes and proof of concept applications to prove new architectures and technologies
* Communicate complex technical concepts to both teachnical and non-technical audience
* Work with engineering teams to provide guidance and support
* Engage with the wider organisation and relevant Industry Organizations
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Proven experience designing and architecting large complex distributed systems
* Experience in the payments domain is a distinct advantage
* Experience in European Merchant Acquiring specifics such as local protocols, regulations, payment products is an highly desired
* Experience with architecture modelling tools
* Strong understanding of microservices architecture, containerisation and orchestration
* Experience with cloud platforms and serverless computing
* Proficiency in database technologies and messaging systems
* Solution Integration: ability to provide blueprints for integrating diverse systems and technologies to create a cohesive and efficient solution, including designing and implementing integration patterns, APIs, and data flows.
* Ability to understand both functional and non-functional requirements and to provide solutions that meet the desired quality attributes of the technology platform
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Leadership and mentoring skills to guide development teams in architectural best practices
