The role is primarily focused on the development and production of data analysis to support Pricing activities. This role is a critical part of the team's strategic move towards leveraging R and PowerBI, driving improvements in efficiency, automation, quality, control, and—most importantly—delivering detailed analysis and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the production, analysis, development and enhancement of experience analysis processes in R ensuring flexibility, reliability and efficiency for pricing, IFRS, and SII assumption setting.
* Monitor and review existing products and portfolios to ensure pricing remains appropriate, while overseeing and enhancing product monitoring processes—including governance reporting, key metric tracking, and deep-dive analyses—to support the company’s POG monitoring and deliver actionable business insights.
* Develop and maintain global monitoring tools using R and Power BI to enable comprehensive portfolio, claims, and persistency analysis for both internal and group reporting.
* Develop and maintain report validation routines in R to ensure consistency and reasonableness of standard reports, enabling rapid identification of data quality issues or unexpected trends.
* Design and deliver PowerBI reports within the PowerBI landscape to support business intelligence and decision-making.
* Identify and implement the optimal use of CNPSIs reporting system, R, Power BI and Prophet identifying where and how to best to use each and how they should operate most efficiently together.
* Champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making as a cornerstone of the pricing team’s strategy.
* Collaboration with Actuarial Reporting, Finance and wider Business teams to maximise consistency and quality of Management Information.
* Working with CNPSI Commercial teams to develop Product Concepts that meet customer and market needs.
* Development, improvement, and maintenance of pricing models for pricing and profitability analysis.
* Execution of pricing calculations, including premium rate setting, profitability metrics, P&L and balance sheet impacts, return on capital, and sensitivity analysis.
* Production of detailed Product Specifications for implementation, including all product features, calculations, and data requirements for wider Actuarial purposes in BAU.
* Support for new product and pricing changes, including policy calculation test cases, business requirements gathering, and validation of system testing across Distributor, TPA, and CNPSI.
* Contribution to product notes for the Risk, Actuarial and Finance Forum, Product Committee, CNP Group, and, where relevant, the CNPSI Executive Committee and Board.
* Adherence to and development of processes and controls to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
