Senior Psychologist
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing high quality mental health care and contributing to clinical decision-making and service development.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Psychologist will provide expert psychological assessment, formulation, and evidence-based interventions for adults with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. They will work as part of a dynamic team, providing clinical leadership, supervision, and contributing to the ongoing development of service provision within their allocated area.
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and risk formulations for adults with complex mental health needs, identifying areas for intervention and developing effective treatment plans.
* Provide individual, group, and family interventions based on evidence-based psychological therapies, promoting positive outcomes and improving patient well-being.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists, to support patient care and treatment planning.
* Contribute to care planning, treatment reviews, and discharge planning for patients, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
* Offer clinical supervision and guidance to junior psychologists, trainees, and other staff, supporting their professional development and growth.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with HSE policies, adhering to confidentiality and data protection guidelines.
* Participate in service development initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects, driving continuous improvement and excellence in mental health care.
* Engage in consultation with other healthcare professionals and services, fostering collaborative relationships and sharing best practices.
