Are you looking for an unique role that will support one of Ireland's largest infrastructure projects?About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (NEC) to support both project delivery and tender support activities on a major infrastructure programme in Dublin. This is a site-based position where you will operate under delegated authority from the Project Engineering Manager while working closely with the Project Manager to supervise works and manage NEC contract responsibilities.Alongside site duties, you will also provide technical and contractual input into bid and tender support, helping shape delivery strategies, methodologies, and compliance approaches for future works.This role is ideal for someone with strong NEC3/NEC4 ECC supervision experience and a background in complex infrastructure projects such as rail, tunnelling, or heavy civils.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the NEC Supervisor when delegated by the Project Engineering ManagerSupport the Project Manager in delivering the project successfully through effective site supervision and technical oversightProvide engineering, constructability, and NEC contract input to tender/bid support activitiesEnsure works comply with stage gate processes, regulations, standards, procedures, and legislationReview contractor documentation including:Quality Management PlansInspection & Test Plans (ITPs)Method StatementsSite-specific Risk AssessmentsServe as the day-to-day site representative, ensuring:Safe and efficient working practicesMinimal environmental and operational impactHigh-quality workmanship aligned with Works Information and best practiceAgree and witness ongoing inspection and testing activitiesCoordinate inspection/testing of off-site manufactured equipmentConduct regular inspections to monitor quality and complianceIssue instructions (with Project Manager involvement where required) in accordance with the contractTrack and ensure closure of non-conformance reports in a timely, auditable mannerLiaise with client operations teams regarding site access, storage, and work areasInspect completed works and confirm readiness for formal inspections and handover stagesSkills & Experience RequiredEssential:Strong expertise in NEC3/NEC4 contract management, particularly ECC supervisionExperience within complex infrastructure projects (Rail, Tunnelling, Civils, or Structures preferred)NEC3/4 ECC Supervision AccreditationExperience leading small teams (2-5 people)Strong report writing skillsConfident presentation and communication skillsWorking knowledge of CEMARWhy This Role?This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a high-impact site role while also influencing future project wins through tender support.
