Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, core hours 8 am – 6 pm with occasional out-of-hours cover.
Purpose of the Post
The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 (CNM3) will have overall responsibility for ensuring high standards of patient safety and quality care through expert oversight of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Medical Emergency Responses, and for leading, delivering and implementing a SafeWards model across Bloomfield Hospital.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ADONs, Nurse Management, Quality, Risk & Compliance, Facilities Management and People & Culture, this role will ensure delivery of evidence-based practice by supporting continuous staff development and fostering a culture of safety excellence across clinical settings.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role working with a team.
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in infection prevention and control.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Proven experience in designing and delivering staff training.
* Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
* A commitment to further study in IPC and SafeWards to ensure skills and knowledge are up to date, relevant and compliant.
Desirable
* Postgraduate qualification in Infection Prevention & Control, Nursing Management, SafeWards or related field.
* Experience in SafeWards model and quality improvement frameworks.
* Proven track record in audit and risk management.
