Job Title: Property & Casualty Underwriter
Location: Dublin
Our client, a Global Insurance Group, are currently seeking a Property & Casualty underwriter to join their growing team based in Dublin City. This role will deliver excellent customer service to underwriters and brokers while developing technical ability and will play an important role within the management of the current book.
This role is 3 days in the office and offers an excellent benefits package along with 25 days annual leave.
Your Role:
* Underwriting and processing of renewal business, ensuring alignment with the company’s underwriting guidelines, authority limits and business objectives.
* Handling new and existing business referrals through the company’s digital platform, efficiently processing them in line with company procedures.
* Engaging with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders through both in-person and virtual meetings.
* Coordinating with the company’s global network to facilitate the placement of international programs.
* Ensure adherence to company standards for policy documentation, timely quoting of new and renewed business, and compliance regulations.
* Working within the company’s Code of Conduct, following compliance policies, peer review processes, and established company protocols.
Your Skills:
* Proven experience in property & casualty underwriting.
* Ability to demonstrate a practical, common-sense approach to managing various situations and possess the ability to resolve issues, often within tight deadlines.
* A keen interest in Multinational insurance programs is required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Candidates should be enthusiastic about beginning or actively pursuing Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualifications.
