POSITION OVERVIEW
The IT Support & System Administrator role provides primary IT support and basic network and systems administration at the AFF, Athy facility. This includes troubleshooting of all hardware and software issues, configuration, deployment and maintenance. Provide backup to the Network Administrator on network and data centre administration tasks. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere and communicate in ways that foster good relationships with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors, while achieving performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
· Provide assistance to end users and customers seeking technical support face to face, over the phone, via remote connection and through an ITSM (Ticket System)
· Monitoring incident management queues to cover 1st line while providing strong 2nd line support for all Ireland based users.
· Provide IT Orientation for end users.
· Build, configure and deploy computers (desktops, laptops, tablets, handhelds) adhering to company standards and policies.
· Installation, fault finding and diagnosis of relevant desktop software packages to ensure maximum availability.
· Responsible for replacing hardware according to the company's hardware refresh policy.
· Perform Active Directory and MS Exchange Online user administration for onboarding and off boarding processes.
· Configure, manage and support the RF handheld scanners using MobiControl management software.
· Undertake asset management and tracking of company owned hardware and software in Hardware Inspector asset tracking tool.
· Assist the Network Administrator on certain system administration daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
o Monitor end user backups in Druva.
o Involvement in projects to provide patch updates, roll out of new desktop software and operating systems.
o Providing technical assistance to maintain the integrity of the physical network and associated switches, routers, cabling and infrastructure.
o Changing VLANs on switch ports as necessary.
o Creating reservations in DCHP
· Participate in various IT projects that may require after-hours and weekend work.
· Perform corrective action to fix any issues with Windows Defender to ensure all computers are protected.
· Provide support with Cisco Call Manager for MACD requests.
· Providing guidance with online collaboration tools, audio visual and video conferencing configurations and setups.
· Candidate will be encouraged to learn FABS ERP over time to build a knowledge base on helping or directing what support is needed on FABS issues and errors, including FABS scanner issues.
· Provide assistance on all company support systems throughout facility
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and upgrades both internal and external
