Day Rate ContractChosen candidate must be located in IrelandWe're seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who thrives in production environments and has hands-on experience keeping complex systems running smoothly.This role goes far beyond initial deployments – you'll be responsible for the ongoing health, performance, and reliability of our production platforms.What You'll DoMaintain and optimize production applications under real-world load and user trafficManage database operations including performance tuning, backup strategies, failover procedures, and capacity planningOperate messaging systems with focus on throughput, reliability, and message delivery guaranteesAdminister NoSQL databases including monitoring, scaling, data consistency, and disaster recoveryTroubleshoot production incidents and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrenceMonitor system health and proactively address performance bottlenecks before they impact usersImplement robust backup and disaster recovery procedures that have been tested under real conditionsCollaborate with development teams to ensure applications are production-ready and operationally soundRequired Experience3+ years of hands-on production support for web applications or distributed systemsDatabase administration experience with production databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)Messaging system operations (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar) in production environmentsNoSQL database management (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or similar) including scaling and performance optimizationProduction incident response experience with demonstrated ability to troubleshoot under pressureMonitoring and alerting setup and management (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) used for ongoing operations, not just initial setupChosen candidate must be located in IrelandFor more information please apply within with updated CV.
