Salary: €60,000–€70,000 DOE. 25 days annual leave + pension contribution + health contribution + more

About the role
We are seeking a hands-on Marketing & Events Manager to lead high-profile rural events and marketing initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of major agricultural shows, including Ireland’s iconic Ploughing Championship and Tullamore Show, while managing smaller events year-round.
You’ll work closely with activate sponsorships, present quarterly updates, and keep internal teams aligned on what’s coming up. You’ll also bring fresh ideas, spot new opportunities, and help strengthen connection with the agri community.
This is a visible role, you’ll often be the face of the brand at key events, so confidence, professionalism, and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of major agricultural events and smaller initiatives throughout the year.
Serve as a key point of contact for farmers, stakeholders, and rural communities, ensuring events and campaigns resonate with the audience.
Manage event budgets and collaborate with internal teams to deliver high-quality campaigns.
Ensure marketing and branding initiatives comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, including board members and executives, providing updates and insights.
Drive innovation and bring creative ideas to marketing and event strategies.
5+ years of experience coordinating and managing big events, shows, conferences – is a must
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence those around them.
Insurance/Financial Services/Banking industry experience (not essential)
Agricultural background or experience, ideally someone familiar with farming life and terminology.
Marketing experience with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with farmers, colleagues, and senior executives.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, plan effectively, and deliver high-impact events.
