Project Manager
Team Horizon is seeking a Construction Project Manager based in Galway for the management and planning of capital projects nationwide.

What you will be doing:
Assist with the compilation, development and drafting of a national Capital Investment Programme.
Assist with the development and drafting of reports on the implementation and progress of the Capital Investment Programme for various departments and organizations.
Assist with reviewing, revising, and implementing the Capital Projects Manual and Approvals Protocol to ensure alignment with regulations and guidelines.
Support the functioning of the National Capital and Property Steering Committee and evaluate project submissions.
Liaise with relevant directors and managers on capital projects to ensure compliance.
Establish and manage project reporting structures.
Support the delivery of National Priority Projects and Programmes.
Collaborate with various health service management teams on capital and estates projects.
Assist in developing and implementing the National Estates Information System (NEIS).
Represent the Estates Manager and Capital Unit in strategy and planning groups.
Support the implementation of the Capital Programme/Plan.
Participate in the Health Services Transformation Programme as needed.
Achieve targets within resources, manage risks, and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
Develop good working relationships and promote sustainability initiatives.
Ensure Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards are integrated into daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
Hold a Level 8 (or higher) qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying from a recognized professional institute.
Membership of a relevant professional association or eligibility for registration under the Building Control Act.
At least five years' experience in architecture, engineering, or surveying, including construction or maintenance of buildings and services.
High standard of technical training, knowledge of building regulations, standards, and healthcare building design.
Experience with option appraisal, cost estimation, hospital design, project management, and procurement processes.
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Project Manager, SAP, etc.
Strategic thinking, judgment, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Leadership, team management, and effective communication skills.
