Mep Project Manager Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager to join an international consultancy in Cork. As a MEP Project Manager, you will oversee projects from a Building Services perspective, ensuring timely completion, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient building services functioning, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other essential services. The Building Services Manager will maintain a safe, comfortable, and compliant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee maintenance and operation of all building services, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and critical systems.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for building services equipment.
* Conduct regular inspections and assessments of building services to identify issues or potential problems.
* Manage and oversee a team of maintenance staff, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards pertaining to building services and facilities maintenance.
* Collaborate with departmental managers to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
* Manage the budget for building services maintenance and identify cost-effective solutions and improvements.
* Respond promptly to building services emergencies and implement contingency plans as necessary.
* Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in building services management.
Preferred Candidate Experience:
* Proven experience in building services management, preferably in a healthcare or similar regulated environment.
* In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and other building services.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance staff.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
* Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to building services and facilities maintenance.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, while seeking opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements.
* Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in building services management or a related field.
The current project has a contract for the next 18 months, with guaranteed work following new projects in the city.
