Our client, a large and well-established nursing home group in the West of Ireland, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join their senior clinical leadership team.This purpose-built facility includes a dedicated Rehabilitation / Acquired Brain Injury unit alongside elderly care services. It is a CARF-accredited centre, delivering complex clinical care including PEG, tracheostomy and ventilated patients, supported by an exceptionally well-trained nursing team.Conveniently located just off the motorway in Oranmore, the centre is easily accessible from Galway City and surrounding areas.Due to internal promotion, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior nurse looking to progress their leadership career within a growing organisation.The RoleThe successful candidate will work closely with the Person in Charge (PIC) and wider senior management team, which includes two Assistant Directors of Nursing and CNMs.This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week, with participation in a shared on-call rota across the senior clinical team.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Leadership & GovernanceSupport the Director of Nursing in the day-to-day clinical management of the serviceEnsure delivery of safe, high-quality, evidence-based careMonitor and maintain compliance with HIQA standards and regulatory requirementsAssist with policy development, audits and inspection readinessSupervise, mentor and support nursing and healthcare staffContribute to workforce planning, rostering and skill mixPromote a positive, collaborative and professional working environmentSupport ongoing education and professional development initiativesResident-Centred CarePromote dignity, autonomy and holistic care for all residentsSupport the development and review of person-centred care plansBuild strong relationships with residents, families and external stakeholdersOperational & Strategic SupportAssist with risk management, safeguarding and incident reportingContribute to service development and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements
