**Job Title:** Mechanical Maintenance Fitter
Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter for our client based in County Cavan who specialises in the Manufacturing industry.

The Mechanical Maintenance Fitter will be responsible for:
* Installing, setting up, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance meets operational targets.
This is a permanent position with alternating day (6am-2pm), evening (2pm-10pm) and day shifts with intermittent on-call weeks.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide hands-on engineering services in a high-speed manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment operates efficiently.
* Carry out maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of machinery, resolving issues quickly to minimise downtime.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and documentation for all work carried out.
* Delve a high-quality maintenance service, supporting production while ensuring all work is carried out safely and effectively in line with maintenance plans.
* Work on a rotating shift pattern and participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks) to provide maintenance cover.
**Requirements:**
* Minimum 2 years trade experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* Mechanical Automation and Maintenance Fitting Qualification essential.
* Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to repair and optimise equipment performance.
* Experience providing engineering support to production, including reporting on performance, downtime, and suggesting process improvements.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Proven ability to multitask, work flexibly, and adapt to additional duties as required.
* Team player with a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
