Our Client, an Educational Institution is looking to hire an Administrative Assistant on a temporary Full Time for 1 months.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded educational institution, known for its collaborative culture, academic excellence, and strong commitment to student experience and innovation. This is an exciting short-term opportunity to join a busy College Office within the Arts, Social Sciences, and related disciplines, supporting key academic and student-focused initiatives. The role offers hands-on exposure to higher education operations, meaningful project work, and close collaboration with academic and professional stakeholders
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the collation and organisation of assessment data for postgraduate research students using Excel
2. Liaise closely with School Managers and internal stakeholders to gather and verify academic information
3. Update and amend content on the College student website to ensure accurate and timely information for Joint Honours students
4. Coordinate online orientation schedules, including liaising with academics and setting up Microsoft Teams invitations
5. Handle routine postgraduate research student queries, including deferral requests and leave of absence processes
6. Provide administrative support for teaching and student-related queries as directed by senior management
7. Assist with additional projects and operational tasks as required within the College Office
REQUIREMENTS
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·Strong organisational and planning abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
·High level of IT proficiency, particularly in MS Word and Excel
·Willingness and ability to learn new systems and applications quickly
·Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment
·Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused approach
·Relevant administrative or office-based experience
·Previous experience in a higher education environment (desirable)
·Ability to learn and use in-house online systems
·Familiarity with university platforms such as Quercus or Canvas (advantageous but not essential)
