Overview Applications are invited for the position of Grade IV (Clerical) - Research Support Officer in the Research Department of St. Vincent's University Hospital. Key Responsibilities The list of key duties and responsibilities is not intended to be exhaustive and is subject to change depending on service requirements. Role may include: Support the Business and Operations Manager and Director of Research Support the following functions of the Research Directorate: - Coordination of research contractual arrangements, in particular Clinical Trials; - Development, communication and delivery of training development. - Linkage with affiliated University, UCD, as required for the role Assisting line managers with training new staff and organising related events (seminars, research day) Data entry on relevant IT systems in accordance with relevant PPGs. Coordinating with team members to progress projects or negotiations as relevant to the role Communicating regularly with line managers to ensure hospital management is kept informed of any issues impacting the service. Adhering to all relevant Policies, Procedures and Guidelines (PPGs) and the HSE Code of Practice for Healthcare Record Management. Participating in rotation of duties with other team members as required. Managing workflows in the area to ensure that an efficient service is provided for research activities. Liaising as required with other departments and clinical staff of all disciplines regarding research projects. Liaising as required with external stakeholders (Sponsors, CROs, UCD, research collaborators). Dealing with queries from other hospitals and members of the multi-disciplinary team related to research. Other duties that may arise related to the services and appropriate to the post.
