Overview
Commis Chef role at Gourmet Food Parlour. City Centre location, Arnott's department store. We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, ambitious and experienced Commis Chef to join our restaurant team.
Responsibilities
* Prepare food to standard recipes and/or customised to meet customer requirements.
* Run your own section and coordinate with timings to service orders.
* Engage with and understand our management and floor team, and respond to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication.
* Maintain food presentation and attention to detail, contributing to a great team environment.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Interest in latest food trends and in creating new dishes.
* Strong presentation skills and attention to detail.
* Willingness to learn, develop skills, and progress within the brand.
Requirements
* HACCP trained to Level 2 minimum.
* Regular and punctual attendance; flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.
* Meet store operating policies and standards, including HACCP guidelines and store safety and security.
* Comply with dress and personal hygiene standards that meet HACCP guidelines.
