Job Title: Associate Director-Structural Engineer
We are recruiting an experienced engineer to join our Dublin office as an Associate Director-Structural Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a proven track record in project delivery and team management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians on building infrastructure schemes, developing relationships with new clients and enhancing business relationships with existing clients, and ensuring the AECOM principles on project delivery are conducted in line with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Effectively control the commercial, managerial, and technical aspects of projects and areas of the business for which you are responsible.
* Business Development: Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to clients, including resources and programme.
* Team Leadership: Leading a team of engineers and technicians in building infrastructure schemes.
* Training and Development: Developing the skills of employees within the team, through mentoring and training; ensuring they have clear direction on how to progress their careers.
* Quality Assurance: Ensuring quality on all aspects of project delivery, in line with company policy.
Requirements:
* Technical Knowledge: Excellent understanding of the application of the current Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and BCAR requirements.
* Assessment Experience: Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
* Risk Management: The ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, relating to both Health & Safety, design, construction, and maintenance.
* Communication: The ability to effectively communicate and promote your message across the team, senior management, and represent AECOM professionally to clients and external bodies.
* Project Delivery: Ability to manage the delivery of work to appropriate technical standards, programme, and budget constraints.
Qualifications:
* Degree Qualified: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
* Chartered Engineer: Chartered Engineer (CEng).
* Membership: Membership of one of Engineers Ireland, Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE), or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
