Private Equity Department

Due to its innovative technology and service offerings, HedgeServ’s private equity team is expanding in Luxembourg, Poland, Dublin, and the US. The team services private equity, real estate, and hybrid structures, collaborating on new technology solutions and client service models to support evolving asset management industry needs.

Job Description

A Private Equity Director oversees all aspects of NAV calculation for Private Equity funds, reporting to the Private Equity Managing Director. The role involves providing leadership, strategic direction, and contributing to system, procedural, and operational enhancements. Ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of NAV calculations, managing client requests, and maintaining a detailed understanding of Private Equity Fund Administration services are essential.

Key Accountabilities of the Role

The following responsibilities may vary based on client structure, requirements, and business needs:

1. Lead a team of managers, directors, and managing directors in developing HedgeServ services.
2. Provide leadership and strategic direction for fund accounting groups.
3. Participate in client meetings, demonstrating HedgeServ software, discussing accounting issues, and presenting solutions tailored to fund structures and traded products.
4. Manage multiple client relationships efficiently.
5. Oversee NAV production, including fee calculations, waterfall calculations, capital call and distribution calculations, investor notices/statements, profit and loss allocations, and complex financial instruments accounting.
6. Maintain a controlled environment within the private equity accounting group.
7. Develop and improve workflows and procedures.
8. Handle exceptional problems and special projects.
9. Manage recruitment, performance evaluations, and team development.
10. Support education and training initiatives.
11. Resolve employee issues in collaboration with HR and leadership.
12. Prepare and review financial and regulatory reports.
13. Maintain relationships with brokers, auditors, and legal counsel.
14. Manage new client onboarding and platform initialization.
15. Collaborate across departments within HedgeServ.

Flexibility and adaptability are key, as HedgeServ’s client-focused structure offers diverse experiences. The Private Equity Director may manage teams of up to 30 staff across multiple clients with varying needs and deadlines.

Education

Degree in Accounting, Finance, Legal, or Business with a minimum 2.2 honors classification.
