We are currently hiring a Field Visual Merchandiser on behalf of our client, a leading fashion retail brand known for its innovative and commercial approach to visual merchandising. About the Role:
This role is ideal for someone who can bridge creative visual excellence with commercial outcomes. As the Field Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for translating the brand’s vision into compelling in-store execution that not only reflects brand identity but also drives sales performance. You will collaborate with key retail, buying, and planning stakeholders to ensure space is optimised and product visibility is maximised across your assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
Commercial Visual Execution
* Deliver and maintain high-impact visual merchandising across all assigned stores.
* Align displays with commercial KPIs, sell-through data, and store-specific trading patterns.
* Ensure execution supports sales forecasts and promotional activity.
Money Mapping & Space Productivity
* Use tools like money mapping and floor planning to maximise store layouts.
* Identify opportunities to enhance SKU density, product adjacencies, and fixture zoning.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure profitable product placement.
Store Performance & VM Impact
* Conduct regular store visits to monitor visual standards and commercial results.
* Work closely with Area and Store Managers to identify trading opportunities.
* Track and report ROI of visual merchandising initiatives.
Data-Led Merchandising
* Analyse footfall, sales trends, and conversion data to adjust VM strategies.
* Monitor the impact of window campaigns and new collections on performance.
* Share insights and best practices across teams.
Training & Coaching
* Train in-store teams on visual standards and link VM excellence to revenue.
* Drive visual awareness and ownership at store level.
Key Metrics for Success:
* Sales uplift following VM refreshes
* Space productivity (sales/sqft or sqm)
* Improved stock turns in key areas
* ROI on seasonal and promotional VM changes
* Visual compliance and consistency across stores
Candidate Profile:
Experience & Background:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in fashion retail
* Strong understanding of store layouts, product adjacencies, and commercial VM tools
* Confident working with sales and KPI data
Skills & Competencies:
* Proven experience in a VM, supervisor, or store management capacity
* Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple store projects
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Creative flair combined with a strong commercial mindset
* Comfortable using visual software and retail systems
* Willingness to travel throughout Ireland; flexibility required during peak periods
Desirable:
* Third-level qualification in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, or related discipline
* Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, or similar design tools
* Previous experience as a Field VM in fashion retail
