The Role As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting clients across global trading environments. Acting as a key point of contact, you'll configure systems, troubleshoot issues, and proactively monitor performance to ensure seamless operations. Over time, you'll gain in-depth expertise in electronic trading infrastructure and the tools used by some of the world's most influential financial institutions. Key Responsibilities Configure applications to meet customer requirements. Work with Unix to configure low-latency servers. Troubleshoot issues with application installations and network problems. Perform health checks and proactively monitor systems. Support client requirements through technical problem-solving and system configuration. Required Skills & Experience The ideal candidate will bring technical proficiency in areas such as: Unix/Linux system administration and tuning. Networking (Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP) and tools like tcpdump/Wireshark. Editing/configuring files (XML, JSON, ENV). Scripting Understanding of HTTP protocols and log analysis. Software testing methodologies and troubleshooting skills. Alongside technical skills, you'll also bring: Strong communication and organisational skills.
