Commercialisation Specialist
Munster Technological University seeks a Commercialisation Specialist to join their Innovation and Enterprise Office. This role involves collaborating with researchers and academics to identify commercial potential, providing expert advice on intellectual property management.
* Evaluate research portfolios for commercial value
* Establish relationships with Principal Investigators and assess commercial potential
* Handle Intellectual Property disclosure process and technical assessment of technologies
* Negotiate licences and technology transfer arrangements
The ideal candidate has experience in postgraduate research, innovation management or technology transfer, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Identify and evaluate research opportunities for commercial value
2. Commercialise university-generated intellectual property
3. Develop effective working relationships with industry partners and stakeholders
