About the Role
We are a technology-driven accounting firm focused on delivering innovative solutions to meet our clients' needs. As our new Head of Accounting, you will lead our accounting function and manage a team of skilled accountants.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliverables: Manage deadlines, outputs, and KPIs to maintain our high standards.
* Client Oversight: Maintain excellent communication with proactive management of deliverables across the firm.
* Automation: Work closely with our software engineers to develop and deploy systems for automating bookkeeping, accounting, and tax processes, enhancing client experience.
* Team Leadership: Coach and develop junior accountants to enable them to provide independent client delivery, while identifying knowledge gaps and working with management to remedy.
* Review & Sign-off: Ensure all tax returns, including Corporation Tax, VAT, PAYE, and Income Tax, and financial statements are prepared in line with legislation and regulations.
* Self Development: Continuously develop your knowledge and skills and stay up-to-date on Irish accounting and tax regulations, sharing insights with the team.
