Minimum qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 2 years of experience in program management.
* Experience in Network Infrastructure and Architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in program management for networking, infrastructure assets and vendor management.
* Knowledge of fiber optic systems/submarine cable ecosystem with an understanding of EMEA and global carrier networks.
* Ability to exercise business and technical understanding to drive the long-term objectives of the organization.
* Ability to navigate ambiguity and identify opportunities for optimization.
* Ability to adopt a data-driven, investigative approach towards solving complex challenges with excellent problem-solving and financial skills.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will own and drive projects for the EMEA Network Acquisitions (GNA) Planning team. This position is highly investigative, involving data-driven analysis to develop overall Network Topology plans, compiling technical requirements for network assets such as fibre and leased wavelengths in order to meet forecast demand, while complying with Network Architecture guidelines.
In this role, you will be expected to optimize Google's Production Network for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency while maintaining the ability to meet new product rollout in a timely manner. This will be accomplished through close cross-functional collaboration and teamwork with Strategic Negotiators, varying Technical Program Managers and Network Engineers across multiple teams.

Responsibilities:
* Project manage end-to-end repeatable, transparent and complex repeatable planning pipelines.
* Ingest, analyse, understand and rationalize demand forecasts for all EMEA related flows.
* Translate demand forecasts into regional capacity plans over time, taking into account market trends and technology changes to ensure the most optimized and cost effective network solution, translating this to asset/infrastructure requirements.
* Own and deliver in-depth technical Risk Assessments based on various what-if analysis to ensure the best technical solution is planned across the network.
* Communicate and partner with internal business owners, technical teams, and strategic negotiators to define, plan, and deliver cost-effective network capacity across EMEA while driving process improvements and automation.
