Bay Broadcasting is the operator of Radio Nova and Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio. We’re looking for a Broadcast Journalist to join our news team! We require a journalist with a strong broadcast voice and great writing skills to be part of our team in Dublin 1.
The successful applicant will have broadcast experience in a radio newsroom. You will be passionate about news, have a good ‘nose’ for a story, and be aware of what’s happening locally, nationally and internationally, 24/7. You should also be able to demonstrate a proven track record in responding to breaking news stories. You will have have a practical knowledge of libel and defamation law and will be familiar with regulatory guidelines & broadcast regulations and you will have an eager interest in writing and reporting news for both radio and online formats.
In addition, you will have strong writing, production & editing skills and be a competent interviewer. You will develop good working relationships with local stakeholders including politicians, civil servants, Gardaí and other news outlets.
