Project Manager Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our €5m public service station refurbishment project in Co. Louth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including programme planning, budgeting, and risk management. They will work closely with the Construction Director, Client, and Site Foreman to ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with the Construction Director, Client, and Site Foreman to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.
* Chair meetings with subcontractors, design teams, and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and any issues that may arise.
* Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building regulations, health & safety regulations, and good building practice.
* Check and understand all drawings and specifications to identify any errors or discrepancies.
* Produce and revise contract and subcontract programmes (and schedules) to ensure timely completion of the project.
* Maintain company-owned plant and equipment in good working order.
* Manage and direct site staff and all subcontractors to ensure effective use of resources and expertise.
* Monitor construction quality, materials, and workmanship to ensure high standards are met.
* Coordinate and liaise with the Construction Team to ensure all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
* A degree in Engineering or Construction Management or a related field.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager on €5m+ projects in Ireland or elsewhere.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Excel and Microsoft Project.
* The ability to make decisions under pressure and use initiative.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage resources effectively and meet deadlines.
