Electrical Design Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge automation control systems.


The Role

* Design and develop best-in-class electrical control panel solutions to support automation control systems across various industries using innovative technologies.
* Develop 2D & 3D electrical designs for complex automation projects using EPlan or AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring exceptional quality and precision.
* Detail electrical schematics and processes for build, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Generate detailed quotations for panels and installations, providing transparent pricing for clients.
* Source electrical components for designs, sourcing from reputable suppliers.
* Create test plans and documentation packs for developed electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Assist in electrical debug of systems, working collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues.
* Liaise with customers and suppliers, building strong relationships and communicating effectively.
* Meet project delivery deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.


The Ideal Candidate

* Hold a third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or a qualified electrician with 3+ years of relevant industrial design experience.
* Have familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, inverters, general panel equipment, drives, and pneumatics.
* Be proficient in software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, and possess knowledge of PLC programming and control methodologies.
* Have knowledge of robotics, automation principles, and safety standards, with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
* Be an ambitious, confident, and professional individual with strong communication and organisational skills.
* Possess exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
* Take ownership of projects, prioritising goals and objectives, and demonstrating a proactive approach.
