Your New Role As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transforming research ideas into detailed designs ready for production.
Your responsibilities will include re-engineering designs to optimise manufacturing processes, producing engineering drawings, and writing reports on various design aspects.
You will also mentor junior engineers, share your expertise in design review meetings, and apply continuous improvement methodologies to your work.
This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs consistently.
What You Will Need to Succeed To excel in this role, you will need strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A practical, hands-on approach is essential, along with proficiency in 2 D & 3 D CAD software, ideally Autodesk products.
Excellent communication skills, punctuality, dependability, and a comprehensive awareness of customer needs.
A degree in engineering and a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience are preferred, but candidates with other qualifications and relevant experience will also be considered.
