The Role
We are seeking a Line Manager to support and lead a department and a team, ensuring the delivery of excellent shopping experiences for our customers. Reporting to the Deputy Manager, you will:
* Create an inspiring and welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
* Assume responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager/Deputy Manager
* Ensure team members are fully trained and validated in their roles
* Foster two-way communication and a culture of trust
* Coach colleagues to meet daily priorities and customer needs
* Review reports to implement improvements for customers and colleagues
* Drive a zero food waste culture, managing date codes and food safety
* Recruit passionate colleagues committed to customer service
* Understand and deliver cleaning standards
* Manage stock control, warehouse layout, and routines for first-time right completion
* Address pricing errors, refunds, and labelling routines to ensure accuracy
* Oversee front-end operations to prevent queues
* Recognize and give feedback on excellent service and address poor performance
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

* Proactiveness as the go-to person for department queries
* Influence at senior levels
* Previous retail experience in a similar role (preferred)
