Position Description The eMobility Systems Operations Specialist, reporting to the IT & Digital Operations Lead, is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the integrated landscape of IT & Digital services that are essential to the ESB ecars business and its customers on a 24/7 basis. The technology landscape includes a charge point management and revenue management system (SaaS), integrations with third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, roaming platforms, CRM and business partners), and customer touchpoints such as digital tools, mobile applications and RFID cards. The role requires broad, hands-on experience across digital/web/mobile applications, databases, IoT and computer networking, combined with strong service management, troubleshooting and organisational skills and a customer-centric mindset. ESBecarsinstalls,operatesand manages publicly available EV charge point infrastructure acrossthe Republic of Ireland, NorthernIrelandand Great Britain. As the business scales rapidly through the roll-out of fast and high-power charging, this role supports that growth by keeping critical customer-facing systems and integrationsoperatingeffectively and enabling continuous improvement of the digital services that underpin the charging experience. In support of ESBecars' growth ambitions and the delivery of a best-in-class customer experience, you will help ensure the availability, reliability and effective operation of the end-to-endeMobilityIT & Digital services (including charge point management, revenue management, payments, roaming and customer-facing digital channels) and support the safe introduction of new features and integrations. Working closely with the IT & Digital Operations Lead, the Operations team, serviceprovidersand business partners, you will provide 3rd level support, coordinate service management activities, and contribute to improved operational resilience, cyber securitycontrolsand data management across the ESBecarstechnology ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Business applications functional support and operation, manage and support ecars business applications including charge point management, revenue management, payment gateways, interfaces and customer-facing digital applications. Maintain network and systems availability by working with Operations, service providers and roaming partners to ensure high availability and utilisation of the charging networks across ROI, NI and GB. Provide 3rd level customer operations troubleshooting in collaboration with the Operations team and partners (e.g., billing, charge point communications, payments and international roaming). Coordinate service management activities day-to-day: monitor provider performance and manage incident/issue tracking, change scheduling, and outage planning/management. Facilitate connection and on-boarding of new charge point models, e-mobility roaming platforms and e-Mobility Service Providers with field staff, service providers and partners. Draw up and execute test plans to verify and validate enhancements/new feature sets and manage their transition into production with minimal business disruption. Implement operational and technical controls (e.g., patches, security configurations) to address cyber security risks and support NIS Directive compliance, working closely with vendors for assurance. Experience and Qualifications Essential Third level Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years' relevant experience. Broad experience implementing and supporting digital systems using cloud platforms (e.g., Azure and Google Cloud), web services and APIs, and functional areas such as customer billing, payment processing and CRM. Strong service management experience (incident, problem and vendor management) with good understanding of communications/networking and familiarity with information security and cyber security standards and regulations (including NISD). Desirable Relevant certifications/experience such as ITIL 4 Foundation/Managing Professional, CISSP (or related), mobile technologies, and knowledge of e-mobility/energy systems and standards (e.g., OCPP and OCPI).
