We are seeking a
Health, Safety & Compliance Officer
to join a leading manufacturing company based near Croom, Co.
Limerick.
The Health, Safety & Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company, legal, and regulatory standards.
Main duties include:
Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety management systems in line with statutory requirements and company policies;
Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement;
Supporting management and staff through training, guidance, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all departments;
Investigating incidents and near misses, preparing reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions;
Maintaining accurate safety and audit documentation, records, and reports for both internal and external review;
Assisting in the development and implementation of ISO and other compliance frameworks;
Collaborating with department heads to review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) and ensure adherence to best practices.

Criteria
Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline;
Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment;
Experience conducting internal audits (ISO *****, ISO ****, or similar) is essential;
Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills;
Ability to influence, engage, and promote a proactive safety culture across teams;
Confident in using MS Office and safety management systems.
