Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW Job Title: Authorised Officer Location: Nationwide Hours : 40 hours per week, this role will involve weekday, late evening, and weekend work on a rotational basis.
Salary: €***** per hour with a daily subsistence allowance of €13 per day Overview of the role Authorised Officers are responsible for carrying out compliance and enforcement functions on behalf of our client, the National Transport Authority.
Responsibilities include the regulation of activities within the areas of Small Public Service Vehicles (SPSVs), public bus passenger services, international coach and bus services, vehicle clamping, and EU Passenger Rights.
Authorised Officers will also be responsible for Undertaking regular and on-going compliance checks and audits of SPSV vehicles, drivers and dispatch operators Identification and investigation of offences and potential offences under legislation relating to SPSV's and their drivers/passengers The collection, recording and processing of evidence and evidential exhibits The compilation and presentation of case files to prosecution level, together with regular court attendances as required nationwide Investigating, recording and resolving complaints from passengers, intending passengers, drivers and operators of SPSV's and the general public The assessment of compliance information, including the most appropriate and effective response and the ability to report on such assessments to assist the National Transport Authority's overall compliance strategy.
Working with An Garda Síochána and other enforcement agencies to enforce small public service vehicle and driver legislation Qualifications You will also have the following: Minimum of Leaving Certificate qualification Applicants must have a current, full clean driving licence (Category B vehicles) Strong Learning Capabilities Strong Computer Skills general PC Proficiency to manage the various databases and processes.

Have the confidence to take responsibility for the achievement of objectives.
Strong time management skills and excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and efficiently meet challenging deadlines.
Fluency in both written and spoken English – excellent documentation skills required.
