We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the cost, procurement, and financial aspects of engineering projects from inception to completion. This role involves estimating, budgeting, and ensuring that the project is completed within its financial parameters while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and resources based on project specifications.
2. Procurement & Tendering: Assist in the tendering process, evaluate bids, and manage supplier and contractor contracts.
3. Quantity Take-offs: Measure and calculate the quantities of materials and services required for the project.
4. Budget Management: Monitor and control project costs, providing regular financial reports and forecasts.
5. Contract Administration: Review contracts, manage variations, and resolve disputes to ensure compliance and protect project interests.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential cost overruns and risks, proposing solutions to mitigate them.
7. Project Documentation: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, change orders, and final accounts.
Requirement:
The ability to read piping isometrics & P&ID’s and carry out piping measures from the same.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
2. 3+ years' experience working as a Project QS.
3. Strong knowledge of design standards, codes, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in technical documentation and project management software.
5. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
