BI & Data Strategy Manager
required to lead business intelligence, data engineering, and analytics initiatives within the
trading and operational platforms
. This role combines project management, technical expertise, and stakeholder leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will oversee ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion processes, and BI tool enhancements while driving end-to-end delivery of analytics projects.
**Trading/Investment Banking background preferable**
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage BI and data projects from requirements gathering through development, testing, and production release.
* Conduct impact analysis and support change management for system upgrades, strategy rollouts, and vendor/exchange integrations.
* Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest and process market, trading, and operational data efficiently.
* Collaborate with developers and operational teams to implement, test, and release new platform features.
* Provide technical guidance and analytical support to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and actionable insights.
* Maintain and tune existing processes to meet evolving performance criteria, balancing efficiency with business needs.
* Work closely with multiple business areas to continuously enhance technical performance and reporting capabilities.
* Prepare and present dashboards, reports, and analyses to stakeholders, translating complex data into business insights.
* Mentor junior analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of data quality and innovation.
Skills & Experience Required:
* B.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
* 8+ years of experience in the financial sector, ideally in trading, securities, or funds environments
* Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with large datasets is essential
* Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, including tools such as Informatica, Tidal, or Airflow
* Experience managing BI projects using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
* Solid understanding of financial markets and tradable instruments, including equities, futures, and options
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, plan timelines, and meet deadlines under pressure
* Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and data modeling best practices
