The role of a Support Worker involves providing person-centred care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. You will work collaboratively with service users, their families, and colleagues to develop and implement individual care plans that promote independence, social engagement, and skill development.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and support that prioritises the physical and emotional well-being of individuals.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external professionals.
* QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare (minimum course modules obtained: Care of the Elderly and Care Skills) with at least 6 months' experience.
* Valid certificates for Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults, Infection Control, Patient Manual Handling.
* Eligible to work in Ireland, EU passport or valid IRP card.
* Strong knowledge of HIQA standards.
